Description

"Why must this always happen to me..?" A tear fell from the Guardian's cheek. His fist clenched as he fought back his emotions. He never liked his emotions, let alone dealing with them.

"He was..a good man, Ray.." A blue webbed hand was placed on his damp hoodie. His eyes wondered over to his best bud. The goofy frog gave a faintly saddened smile.

"He was, Globox.. Heh." Rayman could only let out a faint sigh. Globox frowned, knowing that there was nothing that could cheer him up. Teensies from all over came, along with Betilla and the Bodacious Nymphs. Even the Bubble Dreamer came down from his Snoring Tree to see the fallen Magician. Rayman had everything packed inside him. His pain.. His sorrow... His anger.. He wanted everyone to know that he was strong like the Guardian of their world should be.

"It's time.." Betilla said silently. Everyone lowered their heads as two of the Teensies lowered the coffin down. Quiet sobs where whimpered out as it was lowered into the cold Earth. The rain began to drop heavier...As if the lums were grieving for Rayman's loss. One of Globox's children ran up to him with a red rose to hand it to him.

"He's not really dead.." The little child said to Rayman in hopes of cheering him up. This only made the people who heard cry more. The innocence of a child made Rayman lower his head to cover his face with his hair.

"Here." The small frog put the rose in his hand. "He made this grow for me when I cried. It made me happy because he made magic happen! I want you to give it back to him.." Rayman could only let a quiet gasp escape his mouth as he began to shake.

"Ray... You okay..?" Globox quietly asked his friend.

"Everyone leave..." He gripped the rose in his fist. No one questioned him. They gave him he one request to leave him be. As everyone left that one little child yelled over to him as Globox carried him away.

"Tell him I'll miss him! And- And that we'll have a whole rose garden for him! Right in our backyard!"

Tears fell from his eyes. Slow painful tears.. He was alone. He left... So alone. The Magician was like.. a father to him. He whimpered.

"H-Hey.. You remember when I was little and you told me that I was the Guardian of this World? I-I was so scared.. I didn't want to go alone the whole way. But you.. You told me that when ever I needed you to call out for you and.. You would find me." His voice became scratchy. "C-Can you f-find me now?" Rayman released the rose gently into the cold ground. He couldn't take it anymore and ran. Lost and confused he ran. To where? He didn't care. He needed to get away.

"Whoa!" He tripped and slid on the ground. Silently he lied there...letting the cold, hard rain fall on him. "He's not gone.." He placed his hands over his nose as he began to sob harder.

"He can't be dead!" He screamed out. Suddenly a little Lum came up to him. Rayman was weeping so much he didn't notice. The little Lum hit him on the head to get his attention. Rayman looked up at it with tear filled eyes and only stared. It flew around him and off into the Heaven's sky. There was something...familiar about that little guy. He stood up slowly and a small smile came over his face. He placed his hand on the tree closest to him and began to chuckle.

"You're..going to be okay." As he looked up after the Lum. He finally accepted what happened to his father figure. He finally accepted... The rain fall...
